RoWorld How to Play: Land, Troops and Gold
Quick answer
- RoWorld is a real-time territorial strategy game: control land and manage the army used to expand.
- Develop troop capacity and income alongside conquest.
- The official victory objective is control of 80% of the world.
Land is the objective; troops take it
In RoWorld you control a nation on a shared map. Expanding changes the territory you hold, while troop commitments determine what you send into an attack.
Those are related decisions, but they are not the same number. A wide nation can still be vulnerable if it has spent its army.
Select nearby targets deliberately and check the opposing troops. Country size alone does not tell you whether a fight is easy. Water-separated targets introduce troop boats and the danger of defending warships.
Construction changes your available options
A city adds troop capacity. Factories send trains, and ports send trade ships that generate gold; ports also allow warship construction. These choices give development a purpose beyond coloring more of the map.
Defense Posts help resist border attacks. Missile Silos provide nuclear launch access, and SAM Launchers can intercept incoming missiles. Treat these as different jobs, rather than assuming every defensive-looking building protects against every threat. The building comparison explains the distinctions.
Diplomacy and victory share the same map
You can form alliances, and allies can also betray. Cooperation may reduce pressure in one direction, but it does not remove the need to watch the other players. Keep enough freedom to continue expanding instead of surrounding yourself with relationships you immediately need to break.
Work toward the official 80% conquest objective. The world-conquest display shows your share; a high leaderboard position is useful context, not a substitute for the match goal.
