RoWorld Amphibious Landings: Troop Boats and Warships
Quick answer
- Use a troop-carrying boat for a water-separated country.
- Enemy warships can intercept the transport before the landing succeeds.
- Choose land that gives your campaign a useful next position.
Choose the coast and the follow-up together
A RoWorld overseas invasion should have a reason to land at its destination. The target might connect your campaign to a new region or provide an approach to a rival you cannot attack directly by land.
Compare that benefit with the army and attention required.
Check the opponent's troops before treating an island as easy territory. A small visible area can still hold a strong defending army.
Send the troop boat deliberately
The guide describes right-clicking a water-separated country to send troop-carrying boats; a quoted in-game tip also refers to clicking a coast for a boat invasion. Use the action offered for the destination in your interface and choose the troop commitment for that operation.
Look for the maritime threat before repeating the action. The RoWorld walkthrough shows warships shooting transports. A boat that leaves your coast may still fail to reach the position you wanted.
Hold a foothold that advances the campaign
When troops reach the target, reassess the response and the territory you actually control. A landing can open a new front for both sides. Keep the operation focused on a foothold you can use rather than collecting a distant isolated patch for its own sake.
If warships are stopping the approach, use the warship guide. If the landing has created a contested land border, attack neighbors and border defense become the next useful decisions.
